Seth MacFarlane’s ‘Ted’ Is Getting A Fully-Animated Spinoff Series
Seth MacFarlane’s Ted franchise is an unstoppable force of nature. After two feature films and a hit streaming series that became Peacock’s most-watching original title to date, a new fully-animated series has been announced.
Ted: The Animated Series (working title) will also air on Peacock. MacFarlane will reprise the voice of Ted, and will executive produce alongside series showrunners Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh (Modern Family), both of whom exec-produced the live-action series. All three will write for the show.
The animated series picks up after the Ted films. Rough Draft (Futurama, Disenchantment) is the animation production studio.
The actors from the film franchise who will provide voices as series regulars are Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Barth. Other voice actors are Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman.
The series is being produced by UCP (a division of Universal Studio Group), Fuzzy Door, and MRC. Other executive producers are Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, Aimee Carlson (Fuzzy Door), and Claudia Katz (Rough Draft).
The hybrid live-action/animated Ted prequel series is still being produced too and was recently renewed for a second season.
